Ranking transparency
rsps.dev offers several views because no single number can identify the right private server for every player. This page explains what each ordering measures, what it does not measure, and how paid visibility is disclosed.
Methodology last reviewed August 26, 2026.
The default list orders featured listings first, then orders the remaining approved servers by their current calendar-month vote total. Vote totals reset at 00:00 UTC on the first day of each month.
Trending emphasizes recent vote momentum rather than lifetime popularity. It compares the latest 24-hour vote activity with the preceding 24 hours, with a rolling three-day comparison as a fallback when daily data is sparse.
This view includes servers with a public, published update and sorts featured listings first, followed by the most recent content publication date. Routine system edits do not count as a fresh server update.
Newest sorts featured listings first and then uses the date each approved server was added to rsps.dev. A recent listing date does not prove that the game world itself launched recently.
Public ranking queries include listings that are approved, enabled, and not hidden. Category pages then apply the revision, game-type, or compatibility label shown on that page. Those classifications are supplied by the listing and can be broader than a precise game revision, so players should verify important details on the full server page and official community channels.
Featured is a paid visibility product. Active featured listings are placed ahead of non-featured results in the ranking views and carry a visible Featured label. Separate sponsored placements and banner advertisements are displayed outside the numbered organic list. Purchasing visibility does not add votes or change a server’s vote total.
Votes measure participation from a server’s community during the current month. Trending measures recent change in vote activity. Online status reflects the latest available server check when a listing has supplied a compatible connection address. Updates are posts published through the public update system. These signals can help narrow a search, but none is a guarantee of security, stability, fairness, or personal fit.
Use two or three signals together: pick the revision or game type you want, check whether the server is active, read recent updates, and compare the full profile with its official website and Discord. Do not reuse an important password, and download clients only from a source you trust. The rankings are a discovery tool, not an endorsement of third-party software.
